Wild Things Gifts’ signature rainbow suncatcher raises donation for collective NHS charity

Exeter, Devon Sep 9, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - With the two-year mark of the pandemic on the horizon, support for NHS staff and volunteers has never been more crucial. Amid uncertainty and widescale burnout being reported in the care sector, NHS Charities Together is offering support to such workers via its federation of 241 different charitable organisations.

The national charity has switched its focus on the immediate practical and emotional needs of health workers during the Covid-19 pandemic, which has put a tremendous amount of pressure on the charity's resources.

Wild Things Gifts - a wholesale gift supplier based in Devon - has pledged support by donating £2,277 this week, generated through sales of its signature Thank You Rainbow.

The special edition suncatcher was introduced in August last year, itself intended as a way to show appreciation for healthcare staff. At the time of its introduction, the company committed to giving 50p from each sale to NHS Charities Together.

Designed and handcrafted in Britain, the Thank You Rainbow quickly saw widespread support from Wild Things stockists. "Our retailers really got on board with both the product and the charity drive, for which we're really appreciative," says Jules Vahrman, company founder and director. "It's great to see it become such a popular item, but of course the real satisfaction comes from knowing that we've been able to make a significant contribution to such an important cause."

"Even though the Thursday evening applause feels like a distant memory, our Thank You Rainbows are still as popular as ever," Jules adds. "We'll continue to set aside 50p from every sale with the intention of making a similarly large donation in 2022."
