Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian is a women's and children's hospital at 3959 Broadway, near West 165th Street, in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It is a part of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and the Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

After graduating with her high school diploma from Baccalaureate School for Global Education in 2009, Kathia went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from The College of New Rochelle in 2013. She then received her Master's degree (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program) from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in 2021. 

Holding certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support (CPR/AED), Kathia is also a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider through the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Professionally, she has served as a travel nurse at NYP Queens (December 2021 - August 2022), and as a registered nurse at Mount Sinai West (February 2014 - November 2021).

A Board-Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) holds board certification and provides primary health care services to women of all ages, generally beginning at adolescence and continuing through pregnancy and menopause.

Among her volunteer efforts, Kathia is a mentor of the Mentee Program for Nursing 1 Students, a volunteer at Midnight Run Sponsored by CNR Campus Ministry, and a member of the Nurse Advocacy Forum. She is also a member of the National Student Nurses' Association.
