Up and coming designer Chi Zhang made his New York Fashion Week debut on Monday, February 13th in a stunning show aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Manhattan’s West Side. The show was LiveStreamed, and The American Movie Company provided WebCasting services.

Zhang launched his clothing line in 2007 and has steadily built a loyal following in the years since. His womenswear and menswear collections were warmly received.

Zhang held his runway show in the Space Shuttle Pavilion on the Intrepid, where the models danced to dubstep down a runway that circled The Enterprise Shuttle. Those present seemed to love the electronic music and swayed to it! The collection featured many graphic hoodies with oversized sleeves and fur coats. Straps were a running motif in the clothing items; many of the hoodies had long straps on the sleeves that either wrapped around the models’ arms or hung loose.

AMC had a full crew to accommodate the shoot. Bill Milling produced the show and was on location as the production coordinator. Phil Fleischer doubled as the production’s Assistant Director and TriCaster operator, with Zack Breheney assisting with the TriCaster. Arié Ohayon was the DP, and he led a seven-camera team consisting of Lou Blackmon, Loni Gest, Eduardo Torres, Chris Lind, Jason Bergman, and Govind Deecee. RJ Yenesel served as the production’s Sound Mixer. Jacob Getz, Laerke Roase Mollengard, and Pamela Hope were the photographers, and Emma Broadbent shot behind the scenes footage. Elle Kyle and Parmjot Girn served as Production Coordinator and Manager, respectively.

Thanks to the efforts and talent of the AMC team, the show went smoothly. The crew captured gorgeous stills and video footage of the models as they took to the runway. “We all had a good time working on such a fun project at such a cool venue!” Parm commented. “And more importantly, we were quite pleased with the footage we got.”

In addition to WebCasting, American Movie Company offers a variety of video production services across the nation, including Green Screen Studios, Teleprompter and Interrotron Rentals. Central offices are located in NYC, LA and Miami. AMC has been involved in high profile location shoots including: Mortal Instruments: The City of Bones, Lucky Number Slevin among others.
